HAPPY CHRISTMAS


Anyone else wondering how we got from here to Christmas to quickly this year? Yes me too... We're busily preparing for the last service of 2018, with a delicious feast locally sourced feast, featuring venison and salmon and the return of our delicious Camembert Creme Brûlée. If you're coming then we look forward to welcoming you.


It's been another fabulous year, building on what we achieved in the first few months of 2017. Our key goals in 2018 included reducing food miles and growing all our own fruit and vegetables, edible flowers and herbs. I am delighted to say we achieved 90% of that supplementing our fruit order on occasion with fruit from Riverford. We were absolutely thrilled to be awarded GOLD again by Taste Of The West in the best restaurant category and Best Restaurant in Devon/ Best Customer Service by LUXE


2019 will be a year of building on our now strong foundations we’ll continue to be as self sufficient as we can and work closely with our suppliers to provide the best of Devon’s larder.

We’ll also be rolling out some new and exciting additions including:

  • Recipe Kits

  • Takeaway

  • Handmade, Pickles, Potions and Preserves, available in the restaurant


Our highly successful events programme will continue

January 18 & 19 - Le Grand Fromage ( 4 covers left on the 19th )

February 2-28 - Exmoor Food Festival

February 15-16 - Valentines Weekend Menu

March 15-16 Canada weekend ( 10 covers left on the 16th)

April 19 & 20 Easter menu ( menu to be confirmed )


We’ll be continue to work within the heart of our community supporting local charities and events and helping where we can in a supporting capacity.
